WHAT WE DO
TESTIMONIALS
"We have worked with multiple web designers and developers and none compare to Edgeworks Technology. They not only did what they said they would do, but they went above and beyond time and again. The Edgeworks Technology team sports a unique blend of creativity, astuteness, and patience. They provide the best value hands-down. We highly recommend Edgeworks Technology for website design, development, and maintenance."

Software Development
Edgeworks Technologies development strategy involves a robust pre-development phase to fully understand the job at hand and to plan for a successful delivery. A planned development phase follows with the development of a beta or functioning test version of the application. This beta version is rigorously tested and refined into the fully functional and proven application for final delivery. This process offers the combined benefits of quick and visible results for our clients, as well as proven and tested application delivery. We have spent years developing our process with the latest techniques and technologies and will continue to do so to ensure that we offer the best possible service to our customers.
We pride ourselves on both the level of work we provide and the highest level of customer service both during the project and after launch, leaving our customers assured that they are in good hands with Edgeworks Technology.
We specialize in both web-based applications, and mobile applications. Our web-based applications can be designed to run on a local closed network or via a secure site accessible to anyone.
Our mobile applications can be developed as a web based application delivered via a mobile browser, or for devices based on the Android Platform we can build a stand alone application specifically for them.

Recent Projects
Spot Devices
Edgeworks Technology helped Spot Devices implement their "Spot Infrastructure Management Applications" (SIMA) web-based application suite for controlling, monitoring, and management of Spot Devices’ systems. Depending on the application and system configuration, Spot offers different levels of SIMA connectivity and response, ranging from real-time subscription service to next business day, per-use service. SIMA is responsible for managing everything from remote device configuration, dynamic transit arrival notification, in-road crosswalk and lighted stop bars, and calendar-activated school zone warning light systems.
Exploring Ape Behavior
Edgeworks developed a web-based education tool called "Exploring Ape Behavior" for the Lincoln Park Zoo. This application allows a student to step into a researcher's shoes at the Regenstein Center for African Apes to observe these amazing animals. Using Edgework's software delivered via iPod Touch, participants may embark on their own research project, recording the activities of chimpanzees and gorillas. Individuals then gather together for a presentation, which analyzes their data comparing it against other's observations and the long-term research collected by the zoo.
Avian Reintroduction and Translocation (ARTD)
Although there have been over 1,000 releases of avian species worldwide during the last two decades, assimilating research information remains a challenge due to data collected over many different reference sources. Edgeworks Technology addressed this challenge by creating the Avian Reintroduction and Translocation Database (ARTD), a centralized, comprehensive and standardized database. Data is organized based upon factors that impact the efficacy of avian releases including data pertaining to species' biology, ecology, habitat suitability and release design (e.g. demographic, genetic and management-related factors). Data on the species, source populations, release sites and the release events are collected from a wide range of reference sources including peer-reviewed literature, less accessible publications and collaborators.
The ARTD application aids researchers, managers and scientists in implementing more effective reintroduction and translocation programs in addition to informing curious users about the specifics of reintroduction programs. The application was designed as a collaborative effort to be edited and updated on a constant basis by researchers and managers worldwide, incorporating research information into one centralized database for use by all in this field.
