Established in 2004, Edgeworks Technology, Inc. is located in the Lakeview neighborhood of Chicago, Illinois. The company specializes in developing custom software applications, mobile applications, and website design and development. The Edgework Technology team brings over 25 years of experience to each project with a global client base stretching across the United States and abroad.

Edgeworks Founders


Alex Bakunas

Alex attended the University of Illinois where he studied both Physics and Computer Science. As a student he began programming on a number of data-analysis projects. After graduation, he moved to Chicago to work on web-based content management systems utilizing XML and the .Net platform. From his experiences working as an independent consultant, he has also developed large-scale web applications, which has enabled him to work skillfully on projects of various sizes. At Edgeworks he specializes in operations and business strategy as well as product development. Away from the office, his interests include promoting green energy awareness and globe trekking.



Jason Habbley

Jason studied Computer Science and Music at the University of Illinois. After college he worked extensively in development: As a member of development and support teams for Mosaic, one of the earliest web browsers, and an Internal Tools Developer for the consulting firm Neoglyphics, he gained a thorough understanding of all types of development projects. He has also created and managed web-based content management systems for large community-based music related websites. These experiences help Jason tailor solutions for all types of clients. In addition to development assignments at Edgeworks, he concentrates on advanced business logic and mobile application development. Outside of work, Jason pursues his interests in music and motorcycles.



Andrew Sheppard

Andrew attended DePaul University where he studied Music, Sound Recording Technology, and Microelectronics. He worked as a consultant after graduation on a variety of projects. His accomplishments include creating flash applications and websites for several Chicago-area companies, working on IT and Internet projects for music manufacturing companies, and developing online learning solutions for middle and high school students with other team members. This variety of consulting experience has deepened his understanding of companies' different needs and helped him to be flexible in finding solutions. Along with development, he focuses on Internet marketing, creative design, and strategic business solutions at Edgeworks. He continues to follow his interests in music, technology and community service outside of the office.
